UNICEF International recently launched a five year campaign entitled Unite For Children, Unite Against AIDS. This is the largest campaign ever mounted to bring the world's attention to the global impact of HIV/AIDS on children and young people.
The concert will be hosted by Ben Mulroney, host of Canadian Idol and E-Talk, and will feature performances by Avril Lavigne, who will be the headlining performer; Juno and Grammy Award winner Sarah McLachlan; Angelique Kidjo, who's new album reflects the soul from her home country of Benin, Africa, Montreal based African singer Corneille, who is also a Unicef Ambassador; multi-platinum French Canadian singer Marie Mai and the 13 year old superstar, Nikki Yanofsky. Special guest DJ Dino Lenny from the UK spinning pre-show.
